Wide Awake at 3 AM? Here’s What’s Actually Helping Me

I had a Reiki session with my friend Jenni yesterday, and after a lovely assessment and energy session, she told me I need to do more to stay grounded.

I had a Reiki session with my friend Jenni yesterday, and after a lovely assessment and energy session, she told me I need to do more to stay grounded. Which totally makes sense—I keep waking up at 3 AM with my mind racing. Does that happen to you too?! (Tell me I’m not alone here!)

One of the simplest ways I’ve to ground myself is through whole, nourishing food. (Or at least stirring a big heap of them into a processed breakfast—PROGRESS BEATS PERFECTION)

So this morning, I sent Jenni-June a snapshot of my favorite breakfast I’d told her about yesterday. I know I’ve shared it with y’all before—this is THE ONE MEAL that helped me lose so much weight, not by restriction but by nourishment.

It’s nothing fancy, just whole, nutrient-rich foods like seeds, grains, and fruit and maybe some yogurt. It’s not only tasty, it makes me feel soooo good.

Grounded. Satisfied. Energized.

On days I skip it I can totally tell the difference. It’s stopped being about weight and more about the way I feel. And honestly, isn’t that the goal?

If you’re able to eat seeds- I highly recommend trying a super seedy granola or yogurt situation. It’s simple, delicious, and ridiculously good for you. Here’s a link to the TikTok showing you how I make the yogurt version + the pic from today’s breakfast so you can see for yourself.

What I’m Up To

✨ Self-Care Sundays Are HERE! ✨

Starting this Sunday, April 6, I’m hosting Self-Care Sundays on the first Sunday of every month at a gorgeous new day spa in Odessa from 2-4 PM. This is your official invitation to join me for an afternoon of deep breaths, soft landings, and all the good vibes. Space is limited, so RSVP now!

And in case you missed it…

I just released my first paid Substack post, and it is raw. Off-script. A deep dive into my past + all the feelings that came up while writing my book. If you want to support my work (and future best-seller energy), subscribing to my paid Substack would mean the world to me.

Consider it your chance to become my personal sugar daddy or fairy godmother—whichever suits you best. 😉

As always, I love hearing from you! Let me know if you try the seedy granola, if you’re a fellow 3 AM overthinker, and if I’ll see your lovely face at Self-Care Sunday!

With love,

Mindy
